A Quality Gold-Package Roof Replacement Coming to Hurricane, WV

Back to Recent Projects

Not every roofing project needs a dramatic backstory — sometimes the smart move is simply replacing an aging roof with a quality system before problems start. That is the plan for this upcoming project on Cordoba Drive in Hurricane, West Virginia, where a home is scheduled for a full shingle replacement this summer. While this project is in Hurricane, it is a great example of the everyday quality work our Charleston roofing team is scoped to deliver across the region.

The Plan: A Full Tear-Off and Rebuild

This roof will get a complete tear-off down to a clean deck rather than a layover, which is always the better long-term choice — it lets the crew inspect the decking and rebuild every protective layer from scratch. At roughly 14.72 squares across 4 roof facets on a low 4/12 pitch, it is a clean, straightforward layout that lends itself to a tidy one-day installation through a quality shingle roof replacement.

What This Roof Will Receive: The Cenguard Gold System

The homeowner selected our Cenguard Gold package in Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration architectural shingles, color Onyx Black — a wind-resistant dimensional shingle with SureNail technology (see the product line). The Gold system specified for this job includes:

  • Cenguard Ice & Water Shield in the valleys, along the eaves, at pitch changes, and around every penetration.
  • Cenguard Synthetic Underlayment across the deck as a secondary moisture barrier.
  • White aluminum drip edge at all eaves and up the rakes.
  • Two lifetime plumbing boots plus a split boot, chosen over standard rubber boots that crack within a decade.
  • Two new Broan bath/dryer vents and full flashing replacement, including counter flashing at any masonry.

Ventilation and Warranty

The plan calls for roughly 65 feet of Cenguard ridge vent across the ridges, pairing with the existing intake to keep the attic breathing and protect the new shingles from heat buildup. Once complete, the roof will carry the 20-year Cenguard Gold warranty, covering both workmanship and material defects and transferable if the home sells within five years. As with every Cenvar project, this one is no money down — nothing is due until the roof is installed to spec, the site is clean, and the homeowner is satisfied, all backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. Service Finance financing is available for those who prefer to spread the cost.
