Our Cenvar Roofing team in Charleston, WV recently inspected a home on Sissonville Drive after the homeowner reached out about an active roof leak in the back right corner of the house. The customer also asked for an estimate to replace both the main home roof and the shed roof located behind the property.
During the inspection, we noted visible water stains on the interior ceiling, confirming the leak’s location beneath a low-slope section of the roof. On the exterior, several shingles were cracked and lifting, and areas around the plumbing boots showed signs of sealant failure. Some sections of the decking felt soft underfoot, indicating potential OSB or plywood deterioration from ongoing moisture exposure.
To better assess the damage, our team carefully removed and replaced a few button snaps on the existing underlayment to view the problem area. Temporary repairs were made to secure the roof until a full replacement could be scheduled.
For the main home, our estimate includes:
For the backyard shed, the replacement includes six squares of the same Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingle system for consistent quality and appearance.
Once approved, this project will restore both roofs to like-new condition using durable, long-lasting Owens Corning materials. Our Charleston team takes pride in helping homeowners like Don address leak issues before they cause further damage — providing protection that lasts for decades to come.
